Job Overview
Position: Software Engineer, IAM Solutions
Department: Engineering
Job Type: Full-Time
As a Software Engineer on FactSet’s IAM team, you will design, develop, and support mission-critical services that underpin identity management for all FactSet customers, applications, and engineers. Your work will have a direct impact on ensuring secure, scalable access across a global network of microservices.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain IAM services, primarily in Java.
Build scalable systems that operate globally with high reliability.
Collaborate on deploying services using AWS and on-premise infrastructure.
Author and update IAM documentation and standards.
Participate in an on-call rotation to address production incidents and improve system resilience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.
2+ years of programming experience in Java or another object-oriented language.
Experience building services with relational databases like MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Basic knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with authentication protocols like OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
Experience implementing role-based access control in distributed environments.
Proficiency in writing RESTful HTTP APIs.
Strong understanding of browser functionality, including cookies and CORS.
