About the Role: Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer at Phase Four, you’ll be at the forefront of developing groundbreaking propulsion technologies. This role offers a unique chance to work with advanced hardware and software systems, solving complex challenges that directly impact mission success.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and expand our full-stack technology ecosystem.
- Create automation software for flight hardware testing and R&D.
- Build and maintain ground support equipment (GSE) software, including hardware drivers for vacuum chambers, thrust stands, and robotics.
- Design propulsion engine flight software and test its performance in real-world scenarios.
- Manage projects from conception to delivery and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a highly motivated engineer with a strong technical foundation, a creative mindset, and a passion for problem-solving.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Python, C, or similar programming languages.
- Expertise in automating test equipment (cDAQ, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Proficiency in embedded systems and communication protocols like UART, SPI, and CAN.
- Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
- Advanced skills in Python, C/C++, and DevOps tools.
- Familiarity with safety-critical software and control systems.
- Experience with Agile development, front-end frameworks, and cross-platform development.
