About the Role: Software Engineer I
As a Software Engineer I, you will work with technical teams to develop software solutions that enhance customer experiences. Under the guidance of senior engineers, you’ll design, code, and implement software subsystems, ensuring adherence to Spectrum’s business and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clean and efficient code following established coding standards.
- Implement pre-designed solutions under team guidance.
- Develop basic software features and subsystems.
- Fix defects, test, and validate your own code.
- Understand technical designs and requirements.
- Utilize code branching strategies and follow change control methodologies.
- Collaborate within teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Adhere to legal, regulatory, and security requirements.
Required Qualifications
Skills and Abilities
- Strong command of English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Basic understanding of coding principles and syntax.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming and functions.
- Knowledge of one major programming language/tool.
- Ability to follow standard practices and resolve routine issues.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Experience
- 0-1 year in coding, testing, and designing software.
- 0-1 year experience with database management systems and software development methodologies.
